Real Ale at The Old Star, Winsford
For some months now we've had a guest ale available at the Old Star, supplied to us by local brewers - The Northern Brewery who brew a range of cask conditioned ales from their premises at Blakemere in Sandiway.
Some of the beers are released for special events and some are a regular favourite - some of the beers we've had this year are shown by their pump clips below. These hand crafted beers are available at cellar temperature for only £2.25 per pint (correct at time of writing).
In addition to this excellent local brewerry we also serve Black Sheep bitter, and this is rapidly becoming a popular ale at the Old Star. Coming in time for Christmas 2011 is the Black Sheep Dazzler hand pump - this the first fully illuminated, traditional style pump unit which guarantees every pint is served at the perfect temperature.
